About this swimming hole
Burney Falls is a 129-foot curtain of spring-fed water that flows year-round, emerging from the rock face itself as well as the creek above. The misty plunge pool at its base is open for wading and brave swims, though the water stays frigid even in August. A short loop trail descends from the overlook to the pool through a canyon of ferns and basalt.
