About this swimming hole
Ortega Falls pours over a rock face in San Juan Canyon off the Ortega Highway, with pools at its base that locals swim and jump in after wet winters. The falls are visible from a short scramble off the highway. It is one of the few waterfall swims in the Santa Ana Mountains.
