Hammonasset Beach State Park is Connecticut's largest shoreline park, with more than two miles of sandy beach on Long Island Sound. Its guarded swim area is one of only eight lifeguarded designated swim areas in the state park system. The park also has a nature center, boardwalk, campgrounds, and concessions.
