Lake Jean sits on a glaciated plateau above the park's famous waterfall canyon. The 600-foot sand beach opens late May through mid-September, 8:00 A.M. to sunset, at your own risk. Many visitors combine the beach with the Falls Trail, but swimming is not allowed at the waterfalls themselves - only at Lake Jean's beach.
