About this swimming hole
A dammed bend of the South San Gabriel River creates a lagoon of warm, deep water beneath a limestone bluff in downtown Georgetown. Swimmers float in the deep center or lounge on the long rocky banks; a steep cliff overlooks it all, though jumping is prohibited. It is free, scenic, and very popular on summer weekends.
