About this swimming hole
The Pedernales River pours over stepped limestone terraces in one of Texas's most dramatic waterfall scenes. Swimming is allowed only in the designated area downstream of the falls, a deep pool ringed by boulders. The falls themselves are off-limits to swimmers and turn deadly in flash floods, so obey the signs.
